About
Timer counts down from any duration you type — "5m", "1h30", or plain seconds all work. It parses natural shorthand instead of asking you to fill in separate hour/minute/second fields, and a chime plays when it hits zero, even if the tab isn't focused. Countdown state survives a reload, so refreshing mid-timer doesn't lose your place. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing about your timer is sent anywhere.
Frequently asked
- Does the timer keep running if I close the tab?
- No — a timer only counts down while its tab stays open. If you switch tabs, it keeps counting in the background and still chimes when it finishes; closing the tab stops it.
- What if I reload the page by accident?
- Timer state is saved locally as it runs, so a reload resumes the countdown from where it left off rather than resetting to zero.
- Does it need an internet connection?
- No. Once the page has loaded once, the timer works fully offline.
