About
Typing Test measures your words-per-minute and accuracy over a 15–120 second timed test or a fixed word count, with live color feedback on every character as you type: correct, wrong, and skipped are all distinguishable at a glance. Optional punctuation and numbers make the text closer to real writing. Results show WPM, raw WPM (all keystrokes, errors included), accuracy, and a consistency score, alongside a per-second speed sparkline and your personal best for that mode. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Frequently asked
- How is WPM calculated?
- Words per minute is (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ minutes elapsed — the standard typing-test definition, where every 5 correctly typed characters counts as one "word" regardless of actual word length.
- What's the difference between WPM and raw WPM?
- WPM counts only correctly typed characters; raw WPM counts everything you typed, mistakes included, so it's always equal to or higher than WPM.
- Does it save my results?
- Your last 50 results and personal best per mode are saved locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
